[Oct 6, 2015] Transfer API Update - Support for Chrome and Edge.

As you know, since the release of Chrome 45 which blocks NPAPI browser plug-ins, our development team has been working diligently on a solution that supports Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge for Transfer API users.

Today we are happy to announce that the first phase of development is complete.   Transfer API V2 is available and supports users on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge for Windows only.  Follow the detailed instructions on our support website to implement Transfer API V2 in your application.

While there are multiple deployment options we recommend the following if enabling Chrome and Edge is a high priority for your team:
  1. Update your javascript code to call Transfer API V2 instead of Transfer API V1.
  2. Transfer API V2 enables the Signiant App for all users on Windows.  The Signiant App is not yet available for Mac users.
  3. We recommend you add server-side logic to your code to allow only Chrome or Edge users with Windows to transfer with the Signiant App.
  4. Applying this code will allow the solution to continue to work as expected for all other users (Firefox, Safari, and IE with Windows or Mac) using the plug-in and minimizing any additional interruptions.
We appreciate your patience during this time. We will continue to update you as new product updates become available.
